This was my request: “This time I would like dresses and/or skirts. Think Zooey Deschanel. Maybe a cardigan? Nothing too drape-y. Everything must be work appropriate (conservative charter school). Please try to send me clothes that are long enough. Thanks!”
I pinned and pinned. My pinterest board was full of fun patterned fit-and-flare dresses in colorful fabrics, full skirts with structured waistbands, and a few cardigans.
Guess what was on my front porch today? That’s right – my second stitch fix box!
After my last fix was so dark, I did everything I could to get a better one this time. I specifically listed the colors I like (warm yellows, greens, plummy purples, oranges, blues) and over the past few weeks, I pinned colorful blouses and sweaters and dresses, with polka dots and flowers on my Pinterest stitch fix board. You know what I didn’t pin? A ton of black! Holy cow. How does this keep happening? It’s not all bad, though. Let’s start with the good.
In dire need of some new pants, I searched Pinterest for black skinny pants, and stumbled across Stitch Fix. I was pretty excited about this service. It sounded so easy and convenient. I went online and filled out a style profile, and scheduled a fix. My personal stylist reviewed the notes I left and chose five items for me.
